Percivel

I was so excited to get this little guy started. This baby griffin is a design by Sally Golubosky who I think does such a wonderful job, so I wanted to try one myself!
Percy sits about 3 1/2" from the tile to the top of his head and is approx. 4" long. He's hand sculpted and each feather is hand made then placed on his little body. He's made of super sculpey and is almost ready for the final stage. He will be baked to make him strong, then hand painted to give him color. Percy will also have a set of wings with feathers! He's going to be such a big boy. I love working with clay and the detail that you can incorporate to give your sculptures that one of a kind look. Will be sure to post pictures of this little guys once he is finished!

Thanks Kira! It's super sculpey, very easy to use and you bake it in the oven. I use a covered baking pan, once the cooking is finished I take the pan out of the oven and move outside then life the lid for the pieces to cool and release the polymer stuff into the air instead of breathing it. If done properly your masks would be very easy to paint after and think of all the detail you could incorporate while sculpting them!
